Designing the Deck
After drawing out several renditions, we eventually came to the conclusion that we wanted evenly spaced boards running north/south, with a cargo hold in the center. Keep reading to see how we arrived at our eventual design.
Adding the Lines
All Lined Up
The end-result...several 8" planks running north-south, evenly divided every 42", alternating rows. The cargo hold is centered and features a 2" frame for a border, with more 2" boards running east-west. Here's the finished product, all Sharpie'd up and ready for Stain!
Join us in our next post as we start applying the gel stain and making these planks look like real, worn wood!
